Won’t a fraternity have an adverse effect on my son’s grades?

Actually, it’s more likely that a fraternity will help your son’s grades. The proof is in the results. Previous semester Delta Sig achieved a 2.81 GPA, higher than the All Campus Average at Fresno State. Why the difference?

When a student joins a fraternity, he becomes a part of a larger group of students who have already made it through their first semester at Fresno State. Not only does this group understand what a first-year student is facing, but they can also provide assistance in most of the courses your son will be taking. There are few other places where your son can gain access to the variety of resources that the Greek community can provide.

Ultimately, the responsibility for succeeding in the classroom lies within the individual, but the fraternities provide environments for academic success. With the broad range of resources available within the Greek community, however, your son is more likely to achieve his academic potential.
